HOW
TO APPLY FOR A COURSE

All applicants must be aged
16 or over.

Courses start every Monday,
except when Monday is a public holiday. The minimum
course duration is 1 week (part-time is 4 weeks) and it
is possible to choose how many weeks you wish to study
for.

Read all the information and
the ‘Terms and Conditions’ carefully.

Complete the application
form in as much detail as possible. Send it to the
school with a photocopy of your passport by post, by fax
or by e-mail at least two weeks before your arrival.
Alternatively, you can book and pay by clicking
here (direct students only).

The price of the course is
shown on the price list. When you send your application
form, please pay the full amount or a deposit of 25% of
the course fees and the registration fee. If you would
like the Academy to arrange accommodation we also
require one week’s accommodation fee and the
accommodation booking fee. We strongly recommend that
every student takes out insurance.

By sending us your
application form you are accepting all our
terms and conditions applying to
courses and accommodation, please see below.

When we have received the
application form and the full amount or deposit, we will
send you an acceptance letter, visa support letter (if
required), and an invoice stating your fees and
accommodation charges to be paid.

We should receive the
balance of the fees and accommodation charges no later
than one week before the start of the course.
How to pay for your course:
Send your completed
application form and a photocopy of your passport to
Manchester Academy of English together with your payment in
full or a deposit. You can pay online using the
application form or by
following payment methods:
1. Credit card: We
accept VISA, Master Card, MAESTRO and JCB. AMERICAN EXPRESS
payments will be charged a 3.35% fee. The Card Holder will
be asked to sign and fax back to us a
Credit Card
Authorisation Form if they are not here in person.
2. Bank transfer: We
require a copy to be sent by email or fax, stamped by your bankers, for our
records. All bank charges must be paid in the country of origin.
If you do not pay the UK bank charges, you will be asked to
pay on arrival. Please give your bank the

3. Cheque: A
cheque in GB pounds sterling drawn on a British bank
made payable to “Manchester Academy Tours Ltd”. We do
not accept foreign cheques or sterling cheques drawn on
a foreign bank.
4. In person at the
Academy office: in cash, by credit card, by cheque in pounds
sterling or using travellers cheques.
5. Online
(direct bookings only, agents please refer to the agent
manual).
